I am currently providing teacher-training mainly in host schools often with a cluster of local schools attending - both in the state and independent sectors.
I have received enquiries re training from so many individuals, however, that I am intending to organise some one day training events probably in the summer term.
If you are interested in these one day training seminars, please keep your eyes open for an announcement of dates and venues which will be forthcoming shortly. |

I now provide training specifically for my online downloadable synthetic phonics programme 'Phonics International'.
This includes travelling abroad occasionally, or you may prefer to request the services of a number of people across the world who have been happy to join the team of accredited Phonics International trainers.
These trainers are independent and are free to train from the perspective of their own experiences and they may well recommend other phonics resources including cumulative decodable reading books. Their role is to offer a service to people - not to 'sell' Phonics International.
You can learn more about the PI training team via the 'trainers' button on the top menu bar of www.phonicsinternational.com .
May I please point out that the Phonics International programme, however, has been designed for people to be able to 'train' whilst using the programme's resources!
For example, detailed guidance is provided on every core SOUNDS BOOK ACTIVITY SHEET so that anyone can use this main resource and learn about the alphabetic code 'on the spot'.
There are also many versions (designed to an identical structure) of The Alphabetic Code Overview Chart which are FREE to download from the free unit 1 resources of Phonics International. You can access around 60 FREE significant resources including the Overview Charts and including a general Information booklet via the free unit 1.
Phonics International is based completely on the synthetic phonics teaching principles and yet it has unique features and is unique in the breadth and helpfulness of its vast bank of resources.
This is why people who were not seeking to be trainers have been happy and willing to join the Phonics International training team - because they are experienced in teaching and can see the huge advantages of using such a helpful and flexible bank of resources based on research evidence and leading edge teaching practice.
For many helpful ideas which can, in effect, help to 'train' people, please visit the Phonics International message forum at www.phonicsinternational.com .
