Suggestions: Pupils can underline or circle letter(s)-sound correspondences that they recognise or are learning. Model all-through-the-word sounding out and blending (synthesising). When the pupils have read the text, they illustrate in the spaces provided. Extension work could be adding adjectives, or 'What happens next?'
